A Disneyland Photo Scavenger Hunt

Good Afternoon!

 Have you ever thought of doing fun activities in the parks while running from ride to ride? I have, but I've never really taken the time to do any of them. One of the ideas that I love is doing a photo scavenger hunt in the parks. So, why not create my own for you guys to have fun with?!

Where in Adventureland can you find Mrs. Potts & Chip?

  1. Find Mrs. Potts & Chip in Adventureland - 5 pts
  2. Spot 3 Hidden Mickey's - 10 pts each
  3. Find a wooden bridge with pink hearts! - 5 pts
  4. Get a picture of fireworks! - 15 pts
  5. Take a picture in all three Fantasyland Photo Spots - 10 pts per photo
    • Teacups
    • Mr. Toad's Wild Ride
    • Dumbo
  6. Take a picture with a 'talking tree' named Tangaroa in Adventureland! - 5 pts
  7. Find two wishing wells! - 10 pts each
  8. Find the Small World Costume Co. and Far East Imports windows on Main Street USA (Dedicated to Marc and Alice Davis) - 15 pts
  9. Walt's light in the window above the Fire Station - 5 pts
  10. Take a picture with at least 4 different characters - 10 pts each
  11. Strike a pose on all rides that take your picture (snag a picture of the screen at the end) - 15 pts per ride
    • Splash Mountain
    • Space Mountain
    • Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters
    • Radiator Springs Racers
    • Incredicoaster
    • Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: Breakout!
  12. Score 500,000 or more on Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters (Take a picture of your score!) - 25 pts
  13. Take a picture inside Dead Man's Grotto - 15 pts
  14. Take a picture inside a cage of bones! - 10 pts
  15. Dredge up some treasure on Tom Sawyer's Island! - 10 pts
  16. Take in the view at the top of the Pixar Pal Around - 15 pts
  17. Find and take a picture with Anger! - 5 pts
  18. Find the Cheshire Cat hiding in the rocks near Alice in Wonderland - 10 pts
  19. Take a picture with a car in Radiator Springs! - 10 pts
  20. Take a picture of a Disneyland proposal - 100 pts

Good Morning! I figured we haven't had enough dining posts just yet! ;) So this week we are going to dive into our family's top 5 favorite restaurants in the Disneyland Resort! This list doesn't include snack carts or walk-up type restaurants (or else the Turkey Leg Stand would be included!!), and all restaurants have been judged based on both theming and food! Let's start with number 5 on our list! 5. Alien Pizza Planet (Redd Rocket's Pizza Port) I really like the food at this restaurant! This is a cafeteria-style dining experience that serves pizza, pasta, and salads! I know their food isn't the best quality that you can find at Disneyland, but I still really like their (large) pepperoni pizza slices, and Count Down Chicken Fusilli, which is Fusilli pasta, grilled chicken, Parmesan cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, and a Parmesean-Pesto Cream Sauce to top it off! Managing Expectations

Good Morning!  Little Jack did not expect the sword to be so difficult to remove from the stone! Over the last few weeks, I have had the opportunity to help several people in the planning process of their Disneyland vacations - one of my absolute favorite things to be able to help with! It's given me the chance to think about the most important piece of advice I can give to those going for their first time - and today I'm going to share that with you! It all boils down to one word: expectations. It's never pleasant when we go somewhere with high expectations, just to find that reality is not at all what we had in mind! It always makes me sad to see guests who did not go with the right expectations, because they often leave having a sour experience that could have been prevented. Disney Hotels vs Good Neighbor Hotels

Good Morning!  This week since I am so late in posting, I have added a bonus Disney Dining secret at the bottom of this post!  Looking tips on the best places to stay around the Disneyland Resort? Look no further, we've got you covered!!  First things first - is it better to stay on property or off property?  Disneyland currently has three hotels on property: The Grand Californian, The Disneyland Hotel, and The Paradise Pier Hotel. The Grand Californian is built between California Adventure and Downtown Disney, providing quick access to shopping and a private entrance into the park! The Disneyland Hotel and The Paradise Pier Hotel both have Downtown Disney access, with the Disneyland Hotel being the closer of the two.  As far as on-property hotels go, I have only ever stayed at the Grand Californian, and while it was DEFINITELY an amazing experience, it was probably one of those stays that won't happen very often.
